MouseExpress® Mouse Feed
The study of animal models, using a technique called SILAM (stable isotope labeling of mammals), can provide useful insight into human disease. To help faciliate this research, Cambridge Isotope Laboratories, Inc. (CIL) offers labeled/unlabeled Mouse Express® mouse feeds (irradiated and non-irradiated) for metabolic incorporation of stable isotope-enriched or natural amino acids into rodents (i.e., mice or rats). The feeds can incorporate isotopically labeled canonical (e.g., lysine, leucine, valine) and/or non-canonical (e.g., azidohomoalanine) amino acids, with labeling on individual or multiple isotopes (e.g., NeuCode lysine). Diets that comprise of 15N and unlabeled feed prepared with Spirulina are also available. CIL can also customize rodent feeds to meet your research needs. Please view the availability, pricing, and specifications of our mouse feed offerings below and inquire if further information is required. For background and resources, click on the SILAM application page.
