BioExpress® 1000

BioExpress 1000 is CIL’s original, rich bacterial cell growth medium specifically designed for labeling protein for NMR studies using e. coli BL21 (DE3) cells.  BioExpress 1000 itself is an algal hydrolysate that contains the same level of amino acids as LB medium and comes as a sterile, 100 ml 10-fold liquid concentrate.  The user simply dilutes the medium with water (or D2O for deuterium labeling) and filters the medium using the supplied 0.2 m filter prior to use.
