Flame Retardants
Flame retardants are valuable, life-saving compounds that have been incorporated into our everyday items for decades. Though useful, not all flame retardants are equally safe for the environment and human exposure and may cause harmful effects when they leach out of or degrade from electronics, textiles, and many other industrial products. For over 20 years, Cambridge Isotope Laboratories, Inc. (CIL) has been actively manufacturing isotopically labeled and native flame retardant analytical standards, to assist researchers in their studies of these chemicals of high concern, and has one of the largest product offerings available. Following is a condensed list of our top brominated diphenyl ether (BDE) and other halogenated flame retardant standards and standard mixtures. Also look to CIL for related polybrominated dibenzo-p-dioxin (PBDD) and polybrominated dibenzofuran (PBDF) analytical standards.
