Mouse Express HAHA/AHA Mouse Feed
The L-methionine (Met) surrogate L-azidohomoalanine (light, AHA; heavy, hAHA) can be used to evaluate the synthesis and turnover of newly synthesized proteins (NSPs) in vivo through targeted or untargeted MS analysis. To help facilitate these metabolic labeling experiments, CIL offers a collection of Mouse Express® mouse feeds (MFs). The chow is formulated using an amino acid-defined recipe having 2 g of AHA (MF-AHA), 2 g of hAHA (MF-hAHA), or 2 g of L-methionine (MF-Unlabeled-Met) per kg of feed. The Mouse Express hAHA mouse feed kit (MLK-HAHA-KIT) contains 1 kg each of AHA, hAHA, and unlabeled Met feed for the animal model experiments. Please inquire for pricing. Further details of these, and other, mouse feeds can be found in the resources section of our SILAM application page.
